Transition

Poetry

Sitting here feeling irrelevant

But shouldn’t that be expected.

I’m fading into oblivion

My relevance slowly neglected.

The years now stacked against me

If hindsight had only shown

The hurt and regret, I chose to accept.

From scars now nurtured and grown.

Youth just a jaded memory

Gloating beyond my reach.

If I knew then, what I’d need now.

Yet only time will teach.

I’ve shrunken  into the shadows

Of my former years of glory.

While beauty fades, the mind upgrades

& time rewrites my story
